The same thing I've been listening to non-stop for the past four weeks when I haven't been listening to podcasts: Green Day's "21st Century Breakdown."

found a uuummmm 'copy of the allman bros w/zakk wylde called the Allman Bros: Zakk Goes Wlyde' it was recorded sometime in the early nineties when Ozzy had stopped & Zakk was on his own & was considering playing for the allman bros.
a great double disc! have been enjoying listening to!!!!

Thats awesome... I have heard about this...used to see copies of this on ebay...how is the sound quality and could you uhmmmm help me find a copy

sound qualities really good mike. your normal (non-bootleg) live album. i did a goggle search & found places that have it 'online'. but if you dont go about getting stuff that way im sure we can figure out a way of getting the data to you.....

Listened to Living Loud - ST...today...Steve Morse, Don Airey, Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake...with Jimmy Barnes singing....fantastic stuff.

UFO - You Are Here....UFO with Vinny Moore...trying to get in to it...but something seems off to me...good but not UFO special good

Nevermore - Dreaming Neon Black...really good cd...I have had it for a couple years and listened to it once and put it away...dug it out...and wow what a good cd...going to hang on my ipod for a while

Neverland - Neverland...Dean Ortega singer for the first 2 tribe of gypsies cds left and formed this one cd wonder....so fucking good...more of a journey type thing...but if you like soaring vocals with hooks that kill this is a cd for you

Opeth - Blackwater Park...Wow do not remember it being so cookie monster....the music is fantastic...and when the singer sings clean which in fairness is about half the time...sounds like the singer from Vanishing Point...who I love so its all good.

Paradise Lost - Icon...Another cd that has been in the vault for a while...very Sabbath type doom music with a fairly typical metal singer...nothing really stuck out about this band...going back into the vault

Roky Erickson - You're Gonna Miss Me ....I cannot describe how much fun it is to wander through this madmans mind...his songs are disturbing but catchy as hell...gotta get me some more Roky...Sorta like if Bob Dylan decided to watch nothing but horror movies all the time in his electric phase...except Roky is a much better singer

Moonspell- Darkness and Hope ( Awesome cover of Ozzy's Mr. Crowley)
Roses are Red - Handshakes and Heartbeaks
Smoking Popes - Stay Down ( this band is super cool...love it)

Queensryche - The Warning....My first Queensryche cd and still my favorite...Scott Rockenfield is a monster on drums on this...So freaking good it makes my heart melt

Paul Gilbert - Burning Organ...Probably my favorite studio cd that he has put out...great songs like I Like Rock, Suicide Lover, I Am Satan and possibly my favorite Gilberto song Amy is Amazing...my heart is now a puddle on the floor

W.A.S.P. - Dominator...Their latest cd (Till I get the new one tomorrow :)Blackie still has great pipes...and say what you want about the man...nobody sounds like him...and he writes catchy songs...the only downside to the album was his new guitarist who I affectionately call Johnny Sloppy...because he just sounds sloppy when he solos...almost clumsy...and it irritates me...but his rhythm playing is very good...and its is a little short when there are 9 songs and one is a reprise...

Fish - Songs from the Mirror...Fish the original singer from Marillion has this cover cd while not very daring in his choices...their are some good songs that he does...Apeman by The Kinks, Jeepster by T.Rex and Question by the Moody Blues...not outstanding but ok

I did not listen to much today...

UFO - You Are Here...when I first got this i was disappointed...it is the first UFO release with Vinnie Moore on guitar...but the more I listen to it the more I love it...odd its been sitting on my cd rack for about 5 years and I pull it out and I am blown away by how good it is...It is funny how state of mind can effect how you listen and how you hear what you are listening to...maybe because I am older...I am not sure but I am glad I have it.

D.A.D - Riskin' it all (Disneyland after Dark, Great band, ask anyone)
Sean Lennon - Friendly Fire ( I don't really know why...maybe its that I love John Lennon so much and miss him muchly, But this is really appealing to me)

A punk rock weekend at the races.

Ramones Tribute - We're a Happy Family (Rock Dungeon made me do it. Good but you can't beat the originals)
Fugazi - Repeater (Haven't heard anything else I like from this band but I love this one from start to finish)
Dead Kennedys - Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death (Politically incorrect awesomeness)
Butthole Surfers - Psychic, Powerless...Another Man's Sac (Ditto)
Circle Jerks - Group Sex (14 songs, 16 minutes. What more can you ask from a punk band)
Circle Jerks - Wild in the Streets (more of the same, but they stretched most of these songs past a minute)
Gunmoll - Board of Rejection (Falls more on the rock side. Love their sound. Good all the way through)
Against Me - Reinventing Axl Rose (Always feel like I should be hoisting a pint as this plays)
Motherhead Bug - Zambodia (Heavy calliope music? Falls somewhere outside the rock realm)

Was there any reason for the Punk celebration at the races....not that you need a reason...and Gunmoll has me intrigued
